About Flanger Pedals

A flanger pedal is two copies of your guitar, one delayed by a few milliseconds, the delay time swept so the comb filter whooshes. Slow, it is a jet taking off under a chord. Faster, it is metallic, hollow, almost ring-mod. Through-zero flanging is the studio trick of two tape machines, the part that feels like the note turns inside out. Phaser notches swirl.
