About Octave Pedals

An octave pedal adds a voice above or below what you play: a sub that thickens a riff, a high octave that sings like a 12-string, or both at once so a single guitar fills the room. Polyphonic boxes track chords. Octave fuzz folds the interval into grit. Pitch shifters and harmony machines stack a second part that follows the line.
