The most popular OSSC S-style set. The Penultimate blend of vintage and modern design, the CCS-1 Stratocaster® pickup set is the culmination of years in the making. Boasting vintage correct lacquered grey-bottom Fiber bobbins and non-staggered sand cast Alnico 5 magnets that provide exceptional string to string balance with modern string sets. Featuring modern poly-nylon pickup wire. The bridge position is overwound to 7.2k and magnet strength charged up to 85mT. The addition of a copper plated steel baseplate allows for tighter lows and a midrange bump, perfect for single lead lines. You will finally have a middle position you will actually want to use that can stand on its own and a neck pickup delivering sweetness, chime, character, and light compression. Middle and neck pickups are wound to 5.7k and alnico 5 magnets are decreased to 65mT. The entire set is incredibly balanced, both string to string and pickup to pickup. Lightly potted to reduce microphonics but allows the sound of the pickup to shine through. The CCS-1 pickup set is equally at home with lead work that requires a forward midrange push in the bridge position to mid-scooped rhythm work of the neck and middle positions.
