How to make my Les Paul sound brighter?
The tone capacitor has no influence on the sound unless you are using the tone pot.
If you like the sound of your pickup but want to make it brighter, you have to change out the volume pot. Use something above 500k and that will add a lot more treble to your guitar sound.
Amps that pair best with the Eric Clapton mid boost circuit
Eric played Fender style amps. Something tweed or deluxe reverb style are worth trying.

If you are unsure about what you want to say, write an outline.
The second thing is to rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. It takes a lot of practice and it’s not a natural skill for most people.
Tricks to add more clean headroom to your sound
Turn the amp Master all the way up. Turn the input gain all the way down. Bring the input gain up to the volume you need. This will maximize the headroom of your sound.
Pedals won’t change the headroom of your amp. Pedals can add some compression to give the illusion of more headroom.
If your amp isn’t providing the clean headroom that you need, it’s time for a new amp.
